Proton SAGA SE
OMG.I really admits I am quite a fan of Proton. It really excited me whenever there’s news about their cars. Guess what, they just released a special edition for their new SAGA. Like usual Proton just called it SAGA SE.SE should be “Special Edition”. According to Paul Tan:
- Only two colors available – brilliant red or solid white with a black finish roof top.
- New front, rear (with faux diffuser design) and side skirts.
- A new front grille with black finish.
- Leather seats, door trim and steering wheel
- Pearl white instrument cluster
- Dark chrome air-conditioning vents
- CD player with MP3 support
- New rim design
For me it is quite good to see this variation, at least for those who want a little bit special from the normal SAGA but not really into car modification, this will be a good choice. Although it little bit steep in term of pricing as it quite near the margin price of a basic Proton Persona.
As expected some Malaysian will never be satisfied what has Proton done. If Proton just assembles a complete knock down (CKD) unit they will say the R&D is not doing their job and if they design a new model they will just said it was a copy and paste job from another manufacturer. A lacking in safety features; they blamed Proton not putting the customer safety first.
Please blame the government not the manufacturer.
