Credit Card.To Have Or Not To Have.

December 26th, 2008 | Comments | Posted in Financial Savvy

If I want to own a credit card, I will choose a card that have:

  • No Joining Fee at ALL
  • No Annual Fee at ALL
  • Zero Interest Rate
  • No Compounding Element
  • No Minimum Transaction for Every Month
  • No fee charge if no minimum transaction carried
  • No Contract

But too bad, this type of card does not exist. The nearest credit card that has these features that I can found on the Internet is Bank Islam Card-I (Gold and Classic)

bi-silvervisacard

bi-silvercard

    • No default in repayment
  • No compounding elements
  • Competitive cash withdrawal fee. A withdrawal fee of RM 12 for every RM1,000 or part thereof. Cardholders can also perform cash withdrawal up to 50% of financing limit
  • Complimentary Group Family Takaful coverage (up to RM 50,000) and funeral expenses of RM1, 000 for principal cardholders for the whole period of contract.
  • Zakat payments acceptance

*Bai Inah comprises of two agreements (aqad). In the first agreement, the bank sells a piece of land to the customer at an agreed price. While in the second agreement, the Bank re-purchases the land from the customer at a lower price. The difference in the price is therefore the Bank’s maximum profit, which is determined in advance, unlike the conventional credit card whereby the interest charged is undetermined and it may further increase.

p/s:I always go for a debit card but sometime when you’re doing internet transaction, the merchant only accept credit card only.

pss:I think Tune Money Card is lousy  and rarely RARELY will use a credit card. That’s why i don’t want any annual and joining fees included plus I pay fully within the grace period. My Visa Debit is still not supported to carry internet transaction and remember use the credit card as payment method not as a loan. You should be safe :)

Chelsea only managed to draw with Everton last night, that means the top of the league still be The Reds with 39 points with one point advance of Chelsea. Poor John Terry was sent out of the field after received a red card from the referee after a harsh tackle on Leon Osman.

Liverpool 18 39
Chelsea 18 38
Aston Villa 18 34
Man U 16+2 32+6
Arsenal 18 31

I hope after the 19th games, the table shouldn’t be like this:

Liverpool 19 42
Chelsea 19 41
Man U 19 41
Aston Villa 19 34
Arsenal 19 34

but this should be OK:

Liverpool 19 40
Chelsea 19 39
Man U 19 39
Aston Villa 19 34
Arsenal 19 34
