Windows XP Is Still Significant
I would say Windows XP is the finest operating system in term of ease of use for normal users that are already familiar with Microsoft operating system. Maybe best is not the exact word that best describe Windows XP but it’s rarely hang or made any problems compared to its predecessors. Windows Vista improvements may make it better than Windows XP but that improvements are not significant to end users like me. Okay maybe the Ready Boost and Bit Locker are interesting features indeed. Other reasons will be that Vista need high end machine; 2 GB of RAM should be the minimum. If you have 512 MB of RAM maybe you should dismiss your intention to upgrade. Anyway RAMs are cheaper nowadays and because of this Windows XP still the first choice for operating system based on Windows compared to Vista and no wonder Microsoft is tracking all the illegal copies of these Windows XP through their WGA program.
“Microsoft has stopped selling Win XP in the market, so you have to wonder why it is spending time and money to take down users of pirated copies of this OS,” said a PC user, who asked for anonymity. “Why isn’t it also targeting users who have pirated copies of Windows Vista?”
“So if I’m using a pirated copy of Vista at this time, I won’t be hassled? Got to wonder about that.”
